SRT Consultants are a Scottish Company; David Spinks is a Member of the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers and is one the few Assessors presently in Scotland who have gained approval as an Institution of Fire Engineers Registered Fire Risk Assessor.
We have over 29 years Fire Service and Fire Safety experience and can carry out on-site Fire Risk Assessments, Risk Audits, Fire Safety Training sessions and Fire Solutions on your behalf.
Services
Fire Risk Assessment- The methodology used is validated by enforcing authorities. A full Fire Risk Assessment is carried out to comply with the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 as amended or the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, and by regulations made under that act and in the case of residential care homes to comply with the additional requirements. The completed document identifies the measures necessary as a result of the assessment outcome and includes a detailed action plan showing how to implement the measures using risk reduction principles.
Risk Audit- The premises are audited to ensure that Fire Risk Assessments are still valid and that no significant changes affecting compliance have occurred.
Level 1 Training- 2 hour Fire Safety training
- designed for staff with little knowledge of the associated dangers from fire, this is interactive and includes the use of audio visual aids.
Level 2 Training- 1 hour Fire Safety refresher training
- for staff with some knowledge of the associated dangers from fire, this is interactive, includes the use of audio visual aids and audit quizzes .
Level 3 Training- Evacuation Drill
- Includes a debrief on completion to ensure that emergency procedures are understood, this allows response and evacuation times to be accurately monitored.
Fire Warden Training- Additional training
- designed for staff with a supervisory role to enable them to discharge their specific responsibility. An interactive session with audio visual aids,
- written assessment for audit purposes which proves understanding and a certificate on successful completion.
Fire Solutions - Provision of Fire Action Plans, Fire Policy documents, Staff Induction Handbooks and the necessary Records required for inspection for the Enforcing Authorities.
